Canon's super spectra coating reduces the appearance of ghosting and blur, as well as delivering high levels of contrast and colour accuracy to images captured by the lens. While the lens does not accept screw-type camera lens filters, it is compatible with rear insert gelatin filters, which can be cut to fit and inserted behind the lens' rear element.
