The Shimoda Action X40 V2 Starter Kit is an all-in-one solution for outdoor and adventure photographers, combining the rugged X40 backpack with a Medium DSLR Core Unit for organised gear storage. The Core Unit insert accommodates most gripped, 6.7" DSLR cameras, while two padded sleeves protect laptops or tablets up to 16". This V2 model features an updated harness for better weight distribution, a roll-top design for expandable capacity, and a hidden sleeve for an AirTag or device tracker - so your kit stays locatable even in the field.

Fast access is built in: a side opening lets you reach your camera without removing the pack, and two removable pouches handle your tripod or water bottle. Those pouches can be repositioned to the waist belt for quick access to lenses or snacks, or removed entirely. The removable waist belt adds stability under heavy loads, and TPU compression straps handle bulky attachments like skis with ease. A removable helmet holder secures a bike or ski helmet to the exterior, and a trolley sleeve attaches the pack to rolling luggage for seamless travel. A rain cover is included.
